Frame Type
The Layens Hive is designed to be deep enough for overwintering and spring buildup. It simulates the size of comb found in tree hollows. Over a million beekeepers use the Layens design today. It offers ideal colony development conditions consistent with honey bees’ biology, and all frames are positioned on the same level horizontally so there are no heavy supers to lift! Comes complete with hive body, ready-to-use foundation frames and two follower boards. All Layens hives are made to order. We will alert you once product is completed. 

Shipping this product is done by freight. On average a 14-frame Layens hive to be shipped to a location that does not use a lift gate costs $325-400. If you have it delivered to a residence and need a lift gate add $150. (Hint: get permission from a small business with fork lift to ship to there location.)
