Insulated (condensing) Telescopic Top

Bearsville Bees Insulated (condensing) Telescoping Covers are for the top of your hive. The top is covered with heavy-duty aluminum which telescopes down over the top of the hive to keep out the elements which covers 3/4” of pine. Then there is a layer of 3/4” foil lined insulation. Then a 1/4” air space and another layer of 3/4” pine. Unlike other manufacturers, who use plywood, our products use white pine lumber. All of this calculates to an R8 factor to keep your bees warmer.
